Steve Thorpe

LCPC, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Steve works at the intersection of relational trauma, adult development, somatic intelligence, and high-stakes leadership — with individuals, couples, and executives who are ready to do the real work.

Two decades at the edge of what healing makes possible

Steve Thorpe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Living Well Psychotherapy and Coaching. For more than two decades, he has worked at the intersection of relational trauma, somatic healing, and adult development — with individuals, couples, and senior leaders navigating the hardest parts of their inner and outer lives.

His clinical work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, polyvagal-informed somatic practice, and attachment-based approaches. His coaching work draws on those same foundations — translated from the therapy room into the executive suite, the boardroom, and the founder's early-morning hours.

Steve is known for his ability to hold complexity — to be warm and direct, boundaried and deeply present, rigorous and relationally attuned. His approach is built on the conviction that insight without embodiment doesn't stick, and that the most important changes happen below the level of conscious narrative.

He works with people who are already capable and self-aware — and who sense that something in their architecture, not just their behavior, is due for an upgrade.

Steve's Signature Program

The Inner Architecture of

Leadership

Most executive coaching adds skills and tools. IAL rebuilds the underlying mental architecture — the stage of adult development, the nervous system baseline, the relational blueprint — that every tool, strategy, and decision gets filtered through.

A 9–12 month individual and cohort program for senior leaders who have mastered the craft of leadership and are ready to evolve the internal architecture it runs on. Grounded in Kegan's constructive-developmental theory, IFS parts work, polyvagal science, and attachment — with a six-dimension assessment at intake, biweekly 1:1 sessions, and a monthly cohort mastermind.

Enrollment is by application. Small cohort. Serious work.
